Intervention1: Alternate Day Oral Ferrous fumarate: 132 mg Ferrous fumarate per oral every other day as a single daily per oral 30 minutes after breakfast

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Ulcerative colitis in remission as defined by Mayo score - Iron deficiency Anemia with Hemoglobin between 8 gram/dL to 12 gram/dL
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Severe anemia (Hemoglobin less than 8 gram/dL) - Patients with active disease of ulcerative colitis - Patients with history of blood transfusion and iron therapy within last 12 weeks -Patients who deny consent or do not agree for follow up -Pregnant or lactating women -Age 100 years -Crohnâ??s disease -Additional causes of anemia like celiac disease, thalassemia and other hemoglobinopathies. -Comorbidities like coronary artery disease, CKD or CLD requiring immediate correction of anemia - Previous intolerance to oral iron therapy
