Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient aged 18-50 years of both sexes 2.Patients who require general anaesthesia with oral endotracheal intubation 3.ASA physical status I , II 4.Modified Mallampati class I and II 5.Patients who give informed consent for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with bronchial asthma / cardiovascular diseases 2.Patients on beta blockers 3.Pregnant females. 4.Emergency cases

To compare the efficacy of Esmolol and Labetolol in attenuating sympathomimetic response by assessing the hemodynamic changes during laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation.Timepoint: Baseline, After Induction, After 1 minute, 3 minutes and 5 Minutes after intubation
