Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patient (patient age >18 years) with chronic liver disease with or without bleeding, who are admitted to Emergency medicine department with TEG result will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who are on anticoagulant therapy Patients on antiplatelet therapy Patients with known history or family history of bleeding disorder Pregnant females with or without liver disease A recent history of trauma or surgery; Prescence of malignancy

MeasureTime frame
Rebalanced hemostasis in CLD can be better depicted by TEG rather than CCT. This might help in reducing un necessary transfusion in patients without bleeding only for the correction of prolonged PT or aPTT. Hypercoagulable patients are at risk of thrombosis and CCT will not be able to differentiate these patients from others whereas TEG can identify hypercoagulable picture and manage them with anticoagulants if needed. Judicious use of blood components can be achieved by TEG.Timepoint: Baseline
