Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of either sex in the age group of 18-60 years. 2. Presence of all of the following signs and symptoms of Waram-i-Hanjara (Laryngitis) Hoarseness. Weak voice or discomfort in speaking-dysphonia Tickling sensation and rawness in your throat Globus pharyngeus (feeling of a lump in the throat) Sore throat Dry throat Dry cough

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Loss of voice (aphonia) 2. Dysphagia, odynophagia 3. History of fever morethan 380 C 4. Known cases of Renal/ Hepatic/ Cardiac ailments/ Diabetes mellitus 5. Pregnant and lactating women 6. Chronic alcoholic and smokers 7. Gastro esophageal reflux 8. Spasmodic dysphonia 9. Reflux laryngitis, Chronic allergic laryngitis, Epiglottitis 10. Known case of any type of Neoplasms

MeasureTime frame
The efficacy of the study drug will be assessed on the basis of improvement in Hoarseness and other symptoms. Hoarsness will be assessed by GRBAS scale. The other symptoms (Weak voice or discomfort in speaking-dysphonia, Tickling sensation and rawness in throat, Globus pharyngeus (feeling of a lump in the throat), Sore throat, Dry throat, Dry cough) will be assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS).Timepoint: At baseline, 3rd and 7th day
