Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients giving consent to participate in the study 2. Patients undergoing elective craniotomy for posterior cranial fossa lesions 3. ASA physical status I ,II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients refusal for consent. 2. Patients age group 65 years 3. Patients with cardiac and respiratory disorders 4. Patients who are intubated prior 5. Pregnant patients 6. Re do craniotomies 7. Emergency craniotomies

MeasureTime frame
To compare Extravascular lung water between both the groups in terms of lung ultrasound scores .Timepoint: Lung ultrasound scores measured at baseline , 0 hour postoperative, 6th hour postoperative, 12 th hour postoperative and 24 hours postoperative

MeasureTime frame
• To compare Extravascular lung water between dependent and non dependent lung in terms of lung ultrasound scoresTimepoint: 0,6,12,24 hours postoperatively.;• To compare ICU and hospital length of stay in daysTimepoint: ICU admission to ICU discharge and Hospital discharge;• To compare postoperative complications and neurological outcome in terms of modified Rankin ScoreTimepoint: At Hospital discharge
