Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing surgical extraction of mandibular third molar requiring ostectomy, with or without associated tooth sectioning.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Smokers 2.Pregnant or are breast feeding patients 3.Subjects with confirmed history of allergy to NSAID 4.Subjects with signs of any preoperative inflammatory or infectious condition. 5.Subjects with history of use of NSAIDs within past 21 days. 6.Subjects with presence of periodontal disease, swelling, fever or trismus prior to surgery. 7.Subjects with orthodontic bands on mandibular second molars

| Degree of mouth openingTimepoint: the maximum mouth opening will be measured in the pre- and postoperative periods (after 24 h, 72 h, and 7 days);Intensity of postoperative pain:Timepoint: intensity of their pain at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 24, 48, and 72hrs and 7 after surgery;Need of rescue analgesia:Timepoint: use of rescue medication, Ibuprofen 400mg (Brufen 400, Abott pharmaceuticals), including: (1) the time elapsed between the end of the surgical procedure and the requirement of the medicine by the patient; (2) Total dose of rescue analgesic consumed.;Postoperative oedemaTimepoint: The preoperative values and those obtained at 24 h, 72 h, and 7 days after surgery will be analyzed. | — |
