Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.ASA 1 and 2 2.patients undergoing elective mandibulectomy or maxillectomy surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.patient refusal 2.history of allergy to study drug 3.patients on calcium channel blockers, beta blockers,ACE inhibitors, anticoagulant 4.h/o CVA,IHD,COPD 5.impaired renal function test, impaired liver function test. 6.preop HR of less than 45/min, second or third degree heart block
