Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing major surgery requiring arterial cannulation for hemodynamic monitoring.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient refusal to participate. 2. Patients with absence of an amplitude of dorsalis pedis artery pulsation. 3. Skin erosions near the insertion site. 4. Obesity defined by body mass index >30
