Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists I ,II or III Scheduled for elective surgery and requiring general anesthesia with direct laryngoscopy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal Edentuolus patients Patients in whom the interincisor gap was less than 3 cm Patients with head and neck pathologies Parturients Rapid sequence intubation Pre-existing limitation or pain with cervical spine movement. Radiotherapy at the cervical level.
