Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. all patients undergoing 4 port lap cholecystectomy at AIIMS Patna 2. all sexes 3. age > 18yrs

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with acute calculus cholecystitis, empyema gallbladder as detected in USG findings. 2.Lap cholecystectomies converted to open surgeries.

i.Time for skin closure ii.Rate of wound infection assessed by Southampton Grade iii.Pain score using VAS (visual analog scale) iv.the post-op scar was evaluated using the Stony Brook scar evaluation scale (SBSES) v.Rate of readmission & the requirement of secondary procedures like wound debridement, wound wash and resuturing. Timepoint: Post operative day 1, day 15, day 30
