Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients aged 18 to 60 years, belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status class I or II having modified Mallampati class 1 or 2, undergoing surgery under general anaesthesia with orotracheal intubation requiring nasogastric tube insertion will be included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with base of skull fracture, maxillofacial or cervical spine injury 2. Deformities of pharynx or larynx, nasal mass, deviated nasal septum, oesophageal pathology, neck abnormalities, history of head and neck radiotherapy, obese patients with BMI > 30Kg/m 2. 3. Coagulopathies or on anticoagulant medication.
