Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All Patients with diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus visiting the Department of Ophthalmology and rheumatology Department of Medicine at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with other retinal diseases and systemic diseases which can affect the choroidal vasculature and choroidal thickness, Pregnant SLE patients.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To study the choroidal thickness in SLE patients using SD-OCT and correlate it with SLE disease activity.Timepoint: 6 monthly (20/06/2023, 20/12/2023, 20/06/2024, 20/12/2024)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate choroidal thickness in SLE patients with SLE Disease Activity Index, Hypertension, Lupus Nephritis, Treatment with Hydroxychloroquine, Treatment with Corticosteroid.Timepoint: 6 monthly (20/06/2023, 20/12/2023, 20/06/2024, 20/12/2024)
