Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patients diagnosed with second degree hemorrhoids based on signs and symptoms i.e protrusion of pile mass,either dry Or unctuous,without pain and bleeding, appears like kadamba flower(reddish orange). 2.Patients diagnosed with second degree hemorrhoids through physical examination by performing per rectal examination i.e inspection, digital rectal examination and proctoscopic examination. 3.Patients associated with indigestion, constipation and pain along flanks and low back.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients suffering with third and fourth degree hemorrhoids. 2. Patients with thrombosed and inflamed hemorrhoids. 3. Patients with acute history of bleeding from anus. 4.Patients with associated anorectal pathologies like congenital anomalies, fissure-in-ano, fistula-in-ano, rectal polyps, rectal prolapse. 4. Patients with malignant pathologies. 5. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus (HbA1c greater or equal to 8). 6. Patients with Cardiac pathologies including uncontrolled hypertension, anaemia. 7. Patients with systemic infectious disorders, AIDS. 8. Patients with Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. Change in the grade of size, colour, discharge and pain after the application of kshara karma. 2.complete reduction of the size of the hemorrhoids.Timepoint: 21 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.Any general improvement of in other aspects of health 2.lack of recurrence.Timepoint: 8 weeks
