Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients: All newly diagnosed adult cases with drug sensitive and drug resistant TB including MDR and XDR TB, pulmonary and extra pulmonary TB. Patients already detected with drug sensitive TB and having previous data of differential count. Donor: Healthy blood donors for control.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient diagnosed previously elsewhere but having no record of CBC or treatment. Adult Patients with active TB and having: Viral hepatitis AIDS Diabetes, Hypertension Pregnant females Lung cancer Measles Syphilis Leucopenia Autoimmune conditions Patients on Anticancer drugs and bone marrow suppressing drugs Patients who have taken any Antibiotic drug in last 7 days

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate various Monocyte morphology and Lymphocyte morphology and get the ratio of absolute monocyte count and absolute lymphocyte count in Tuberculosis patients.Timepoint: 6 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess monocyte and lymphocyte ratio among TB patients pre treatment and follow up after 2 months of starting treatment. To assess morphological changes in the monocytes and lymphocytes among TB patients pre treatment and follow up after 2 months of starting treatment. To compare the M/L ratio in TB patients compared to healthy blood donors.Timepoint: 6 months
