Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All the cases of disseminated cysticercosis Disseminated cysticercosis will be diagnosed as >= 3 NCC with involvement of at least one extra site like subcutaneous tissues, skeletal muscles, eyes, or presence in any visceral organ. Patients of neurocysticercosis will be diagnosed on the basis of Del Brutto criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patient in cysticercal encephalitis. 2) Patient with subretinal cysticercosis. 3) Patients having evidence of systemic illness as malignancy, Tuberculosis, HIV etc 4) Patients with hypersensitivity to albendazole 5) Patients with alcohol /substance abuse 6) Patients with primary psychiatric disease prior to developing neurocysticercosis 7) Pregnant females 8) Patients/ attendants refusing consent
