Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA 1, 2 and 3 2. Patients requiring general anaesthesia (induction with propofol) followed by endotracheal intubation for elective surgeries.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. patients with unstable angina, tight valvular lesions, and ejection fraction 2. Patients suffering from uncontrolled hypertension 3. Patients with uncompensated respiratory disease such as generalised wheezes, defective functional capacity, peripheral O2 saturation 4. Patients with high intraabdominal pressure compressing IVC) 5. Patients with anticipated difficult airway 6. Patients taking medications like ACE inhibitors 7. Patients with major peripheral vascular disease, severe vascular disease, autonomic nervous system disorders 8. patients with implanted pacemaker/cardioverter insitu or with mental incompetence.
