Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal of patient for the procedure or to enlist in study Patients of ASA Grade III and IV Uncooperative patients Patients with clinically significant pulmonary pathology Pregnant females Patients with coagulation disorders and on anticoagulation therapy Patient with history of allergy to local anaesthetic Known neuropathies involving forearm and hand undergoing surgery

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1.Procedural time (time required to complete the block) 2.Onset and Grade of sensory block 3.Onset and Grade of motor block (Bromage Scale) 4.Success rate and adequacy of infraclavicular block and the ratio of conversion to general anaesthesia 5.VAS Score Timepoint: 1. time interval from point of needle entry to completr injection of drug 2. time from drug injection to complete onset of motor and sensory block 3. time from onset of complete block to completion of surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.Hemodynamic changes 2.Side effects & complications. 3.Intraoperative administration of analgesics and sedatives 4.Number of inadvertent vessel puncture 5.Number of pricks taken in each block Timepoint: time from start of procedure till 24 hours post surgery
