Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. any known drug allergies 2. contraindication to nerve block like coagulopathy, bleeding diathesis and local infections

To compare the mean duration of post operative analgesia between ultrasound guided quadratus lumborum and erector spinae plane block in children undergoing pyeloplasty.Timepoint: time to rescue analgesia determined by FLACC score more than 4 in the first 24 hour post operative period

MeasureTime frame
in both the groups comparison of- 1. Mean total 24 hrs analgesic requirement 2. total time to perform block 3. complications within 24 hrs of the ESPB or QL block viz. hematoma at the site of injection 4. parental satisfaction score (PSS) at 24 hrs postoperativelyTimepoint: first 24 hours post operatively
