Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with history of spinal trauma who are clinically suspected to have spinal cord injury. Both male and female patients of all age groups will be included in the study. Patients who are referred to the Radiology Department of Rohilkhand Medical College and Hospital, Bareilly for MRI WHOLE SPINE investigation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with old history of spinal cord pathology. Patient with known history of claustrophobia. Patients having metallic implants insertion, cardiac pacemakers and metallic foreign body in situ.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess various magnetic resonance imaging findings in patients with acute spinal cord trauma performed within 15 days after trauma.Timepoint: To assess various magnetic resonance imaging findings in patients with acute spinal cord trauma performed within 15 days after trauma.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To document the early evolution of spinal cord edema , cord ischemia, cord hemorrhagic contusion, cord compression and cord hematoma. To assess MRI as non-invasive diagnostic tool in patient with acute spinal cord injury.Timepoint: 01.12.2022 to 30.11.2023
