Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anaesthesiology Physical Status 1 and 2 Spine Surgery under General Anaesthesia No known Neuromuscular diseases No known drug allergy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients failing to meet the inclusion criteria Patient refusal to sign the informed consent Chronic kidney disease Chronic liver disease Cardiac comorbidities like Ischemic heart disease, Congestive heart failure Bronchial asthma Significant water, electrolyte and acid-base balance disorders Bradycardia or arrhythmias on the day of surgery

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Heart rate and mean arterial pressure will be assessed as primary outcome to compare between two modes of cisatracurium administrationTimepoint: Baseline,Induction,Intubation and at every 10 minutes intervals till the end of surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare recovery characteristics such as time taken from stoppage of cisatracurium administration to reversal time(TOF ratio 70%) and time taken from reversal time to extubation(TOF ratio 90%) and total time from stoppage of cisatracurium administration to extubationTimepoint: Stoppage of cisatracurium administration, TOF ratio 70%, TOF ratio 90%
