Intervention1: lateral extubation: after cleft repair surgery gets over, child will be placed in lateral position and extubation is done in the same position once child is awake Control Intervention1

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: children undergoing cleft palate repair surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known patients of congenital heart diseases Patients with active upper respiratory tract infection

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To report and compare the incidence of fall in saturation to below 95% for the first five minutes after tracheal extubation in the lateral and supine position. Timepoint: DURING FIVE MINUTES AFTER EXTUBATION

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To report the incidence of upper airway obstruction, laryngospasm, bradycardia, stridor, need for reintubationTimepoint: 5 min
