Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status 1- 3.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients not willing to be a part of the study. 2) Patients allergic to local anaesthetic drug. 3) Patients with infection in the area of planned injection site. 4)Patients with cognitive dysfunction, dementia, preexisting communication disorders. 5) Emergency surgeries. 6) Patients currently prescribed with ongoing preoperative opioid analgesics or who had current acute pain being treated or chronic pain syndromes or those receiving medical therapies considered to result in tolerance to opioid, deranged organ system function in the form of altered coagulation profile, severe hepatic and renal dysfunction.
