Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of ASA physical status I & II, in the age group of 18-60 years, posted for elective below knee surgeries under spinal anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with coagulopathy Patients with altered mental status or active psychiatric illness Patients with contraindication to neuraxial anaesthesia Patients with infection or trauma at the site of injection for block.

Comparison of postoperative analgesia (degree of pain relief) with visual analogue score, between the two drugs.Timepoint: every 30 mins after the block, till the patient complains of pain with Visual analogue score 3
