Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Presenting with attempted suicide in the emergency room of select district hospitals or having been already admitted for attempted suicide when the study period begins.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Unable to communicate clearly (e.g., due to medical conditions or a speech/hearing disability) despite reasonable accommodation to ensure inclusiveness and 2) inability to comprehend one of the local languages in which CHOs would deliver the intervention
