Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed cases of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus according to ADA (American diabetes association criteria) with or without peripheral arterial disease and age-gender matched controls

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Type 1 DM 3. Pregnancy 4. Recent major cardiovascular events in last 3 months 5. Subjects with stage 3b to stage 5 kidney disease 6. Chronic Infections (HIV, Hepatitis etc.) 7. Chronic inflammatory disease 8. Malignancy 9. Patients receiving immunosuppressive agents 10. Patients with active covid infection 11. Patients with organ failure
