Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ASA II Patients posted for elective surgery under general anaesthesia including lower abdominal surgeries, gynaecological surgeries, urological surgeries, orthopaedic surgeries of the upper limb
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of pulmonary diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, pregnancy, morbid obesity, diabetes mellitus (HbA1c >6.5%) Major surgeries including Long duration surgeries ( >4 h, surgeries involving with major blood lossor fluid shifts) such as laparotomies Anticipated difficult airway Progressive neurological disease Bleeding diathesis Patients having unanticipated difficult airway requiring multiple attempts (2 or more) at intubation or laryngoscopy time of more than 15 seconds. Patients undergoing surgery of oral cavity andairway. Patients undergoing abdominal surgeries requiring Ryleâ??s tube insertion.
