Intervention1: Vitamin E plus antiretroviral therapy: Oral Vitamin E for 3 months
100 to 400 IU per day according to age in addition to oral antiretroviral therapy as per NACO protocol

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: We will include children aged 18 months to 15 years, consisting of 3 groups: Group 1: CLHIV on ART >= 2 years; Group 2: Treatmentâ??naïve CLHIV; Group 3: Healthy age-matched controls.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Children who are critically ill, had a recent change (within 3 months) in ART regimen, virological failure, receiving multivitamin supplements within preceding 3 months, with serious bacterial infections (SBIs) / opportunistic infections (OIs), with chronic diseases like tuberculosis, chronic liver disorders or renal insufficiency, with hepatitis B or C co-infection, and receiving steroids >=1month duration
