Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Clinically diagnosed cases of Melasma 2.Above 18 years of age. 3.Patient willing to give informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with melasma having any underlying systemic illness e.g.: Anaemia due to other secondary causes such as folate deficiency, renal insufficiency, malnutrition and malabsorption causes. 2. Patients with cardiac or thyroid disease, patients on oral contraceptives, hormonal therapy, phototoxic or anticonvulsant drugs known to cause or aggrevate melasma and patients with menstrual irregularities were also excluded from the study. 3.Pregnant and lactating women. 4.Patients below 18 years of age. 5.Patients not willing to give an informed consent.

To evaluate total body iron stores by assessing serum iron, ferritin and total iron binding capacity (TIBC) level among nonpregnant females with melasma. â?¢ To assess the association of severity of Melasma with low Hb, Iron and Ferritin and increased TIBC in patients of Melasma Timepoint: At the end of 15 months
