Health Condition 1: J709- Respiratory conditions due to unspecified external agent

Interventions

Intervention1: Mechanical Chest Vibrator: 2 sessions per day for 6 days. Control Intervention1: Manual Chest Vibration: 2 sessions per day, for 6 days.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Conscious on mechanical ventilator support for >= 48 hours. Subjects having retentions of secretions on auscultatory findings.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with seizures, open wound over the thorax, fracture ribs and / or sternum and spinal trauma.

1. Amount of sputum produced. 2. ABG Values. 3. Oxygen Saturation .Timepoint: Baseline assessment on the day of recruitment. Post-intervention assessment on the 6th day after intervention.
