Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) All AA patients with two or more patches 2) Alopecia areata patients who have not received any other systemic or topical treatment for the disease in the past 1 month.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Pregnant or lactating females 2) Patients with history of any existing scalp skin diseases (seborrheic dermatitis and scalp psoriasis), infections 3) Severe systemic illness (as uncontrolled DM or hypertension, liver or renal diseases) 4) Immunocompromised patients 5) Patients with alopecia totalis and alopecia universalis. 6) Patients who are contraindicated for cryotherapy such as having cold intolerance, vasculitis, raynaudâ??s phenomenon and cryoglobulinemia.
