Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of Schizophrenia (DSM-V) Patient medication should be stable in the last month and during the intervention Written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Risk of harm to self(e.g., suicidal risk) or others (e.g. aggression) Subjects who are already practicing/recent practice of yoga/meditation in the last one month as per DSM-V, except nicotine Significant neurological disorder including seizure disorder or recent head injury Patients not willing to give an informed consent.

To assess the following clinical assessments scales in patients with schizophrenia receiving add-on Yoga therapy compared to those receiving Yoga and Ayurveda treatment: Scale for the assessment of Positive Symptoms(SAPS) Scale for the assessment of Negative Symptoms(SANS) Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale(BPRS) Yoga Performance Assessments(YPA) Body Mass Index(BMI)Timepoint: 0 and 14 days
