Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The patient above 18 years requiring mandibular third molar surgery. 2. Impacted mandibular third molar ( mesioangular, horizontal, vertical, and distoangular) which are included in Pedersonâ??s Difficulty Index. 3. Medically fit for the surgery
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension. 2. Patients with clinically evident local infection. 3. Patients with diagnosed oral submucous fibrosis or mouth opening less than 35 mm. 4. Immuno-compromised patient 5. Patient under active steroid therapy â?? 20mg of cortisone or its equivalent daily for 2 weeks in last two years. 6. Allergic/ intolerant to medications that will be given post-operatively 7. Patients with impacted third molar with facial or jaw swelling.
