Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy volunteers above the age of 18 years, males with hemoglobin (Hb) levels in the range 14 to 17 g% and females with Hb levels in the range 11 to 15 g% and who are not under medication are included in this study. Only persons knowing to read and write English will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ï?¼ Vulnerable subjects such as pregnant females and subjects under chronic infections and diabetes are excluded.

This study proposes to explore the structural variations of RBCs by a computerized image analysis approach as well the extent of hemolysis spectrophotometrically when RBCs are subjected to hyperosmotic stress, in vitro.Timepoint: From date of CTRI approval till September 30 2023
