Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.patients of either sex aged between 18-90 years with American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I-III 2. patients with NRS pain score>=5 posted for elective and emergency surgery for hip fracture under spinal anesthesia but unable to sit due to pain
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who could sit comfortably 2. Refusing to participate in the study 3. Local anesthetic allergy 4. Coagulopathy 5. Infection at the site of block 6. Neurological deficits on other analgesics upto 8 hrs before performing nerve block 7. Neuropsychiatric disorders. 8. Pregnancy
