Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of ASA physical status 1 and 2 Patients between 18-75 years of age of either sex Patients able to comprehend and willing to participate. Patients scheduled for general elective surgeries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patientâ??s refusal to participate Patients who were at risk for gastric regurgitation Patients with a history of operation on the neck or oesophagus. Patient with stenosis or bruit of the left carotid artery. Patient with history of stroke or acute coronary syndrome in the preceding 3 months
