Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy non-smoking subjects consenting for the study in the age group of 25 -55 years. Patients satisfying criteria for periodontal health (PH), Gingivitis and stage 1 periodontitis(G) and stage 3 and 4 periodontitis(P).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with history of systemic co-morbidities such as cardiac conditions, diabetes mellitus, hepatic or renal impairments. Antibiotic treatment in the preceding 3 month Pregnant and lactating females Patients presenting with multiple intra oral abscesses and suppuration which necessitates antibiotic therapy.
