Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients aged 18 to 65 years, undergoing open appendectomy for acute appendicitis from July 2022 to June 2024.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Perforated appendix on operation. 2. Presence of intra-abdominal abscess. 3. Localized or diffuse purulent fluid in the ab-dominal cavity. 4. Patients requiring Rutherford-Morrison incision 5. Pregnancy 6. Patients with chronic renal failure. 7. Patients with Diabetes mellitus. 8. Patients with known psychiatric or mental disorders. 9. Patients denying consent.
