Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age > 18 years 2. Appendectomy with a right lower-quadrant abdominal incision

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with Diabetes Mellitus, auto immune diseases, HIV, malignancy, previous radiotherapy, cardiovascular disease, end stage liver and renal diseases. 2) Obesity [Body mass index (BMI) > 40kg/m2] 3) Pregnancy
