Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of age 18-65 years of either sex with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grade I & II, undergoing surgery under peripheral nerve block.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient and relatives who are unable to speak Hindi or English. 2. Patient on long term anti-anxiety medication/psychatric disorder.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Measure Anxiety levels using Visual Analogue Scale - Anxiety (VAS-A) scoring system, during surgery under peripheral nerve block.Timepoint: Baseline, After Start of Surgery, After telephonic conversation and in postoperative room.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Measure hemodynamic parameters of patient â?? heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation after periphral nerve block. 2. Measurement of pre-operative anxiety in patient undergoing surgery using Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS). 3. Comparision of anxiety levels among relative of patient undergoing surgery.Timepoint: Baseline, Intraoperative period and postoperative period.
