Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American society of anaesthesiologist (ASA) grade I and II Patients posted for lower abdominal and lower limb surgery under different surgical specialty

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Any Neuropathy Any known allergy to Local anaesthetic Patients with contraindications for spinal anaesthesia such as deranged coagulation profile, raised ICP, local infection at site of needle insertion.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. Hemodynamic changes  2. Onset of sensory and motor blockade 3. Sensory and motor blockade characteristics  Timepoint: The patient will be evaluated for sensory and motor block, for every 2 minutes for first 20 minutes, every 3 minutes for next 30 minutes, every 10 minutes for 60 minutes, and finally every 15 minutes until the sensory block has regressed to S1 dermatome.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Time for first rescue analgesia 2. Any complications Timepoint: patientâ??s pulse, Systolic Blood pressure, Diastolic Blood pressure, Mean Arterial Pressure, heart rate will be recorded every 3 minutes for 30 minutes and then every 5 mins for next 30mins and then 15mins until completion of the surgery.
