Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients willing to give consent to participate in the study. 2.Irrespectiveof Gender,Religion,Education,Socio-Economic & Marital Status. 3.Patient having Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 Fasting Blood Sugar range-126 to200mg/dl, Post Prandial Blood Sugar range–160to 250mg/dl. 4.Patient having Lakshnas of Madhumeha. 5.Patients who are on Metformin 500mg OD only since last 2 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with Sr.Creatinine more than normal limit or on dialysis. 2.Induced diabetes as side effect of drugs like Diuretics(thiazide group),Steroids. 3.Patients of IDDM (Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus)i.e.DM Type1 or induced diabetes due to stress or anxiety or Exercise or Surgery. 4.Patients with History of systemic complication of Diabetes Mellitus Type 2. 5.Patients with Gestational Diabetes and Lactating Mothers 6.Patient having history of major systemic illness.
