Intervention1: Aprepitant: oral Aprepitant 80mg 2 hours prior to the proposed surgery Control Intervention1: Dexamethasone and Ramosetron: Intravenous Dexamethasone 4mg after induction and intravenous

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults of American society of Anaesthesiology physical status I/II aged 18 to 60 years undergoing laparoscopic surgeries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients already on treatment with anti-emetics, steroid medication,or any other drug known to cause emesis currently or in the immediate past 2.Patients with known hypersensitivity to Aprepitant, Ramosetron or Dexamethasone 3.Pregnant or nursing mothers 4.Hepatic, renal or cardiac insufficiency 5.Vomiting within 24 hours before surgery or of any organic etiology

To know the efficacy of triple drug regime Oral Aprepitant, IV Ramosetron and Dexamethasone in prevention of PONV in adult patient undergoing elective abdominal laparoscopic surgeriesTimepoint: Incidence of PONV will be noted every 2nd hourly upto 6 hours, every 6th hourly upto 24 hours.	—

Incidence of PONV during first 24 hrs after surgery â?¢ Complete control of PONV â?¢ Severity of PONV â?¢ Number of rescue antiemetic medications â?¢ Assesment of Aphel scoring & comparison with the incidence& severity of PONV â?¢ To asses the effect of Aprepitant on vitals â?¢ To know the side effects of Aprepitant like fatigue & hiccups Timepoint: All patients will be interviewed regarding the occurrence of nausea and vomiting m, vitals will be taken, number of rescue anti emetics will be noted 2nd hourly upto 6 hours and every 6th hourly upto 24 hours	—
