Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult ASA I, II patients undergoing elective surgery under proposed spinal anaesthesia, involving patients with a history of scorpion bite/s and without such a history.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Emergency surgeries 2. Anomalies of vertebral column 3. Blood or CSF tap during the procedure 4. Patient on anti-coagulants or with bleeding diathesis 5. Patientâ??s refusal to procedure 6. Patients with psychological disorders 7. Patients with opioid abuse/ dependency

| 1.Incidence of failed subarachnoid block 2.Time of onset of sensory and motor blockade after subarachnoid block 3.Peaks of sensory and motor block, assessed by pin prick method and modified Bromage method respectively. 4.Study of voltage gated sodium channels to see for mutations. Timepoint: For Primary Outcome No:- 1,2,3 Baseline, 2 minutes, 4 minutes, 6 minutes, 8 minutes, 10 minutes,12 minutes,14 minutes, 16 minutes, 18 minutes and 20 minutes. 2.Batch testing of 10 blood samples for Genotyping of Voltage-gated sodium channels gene would be done. | — |
