Intervention1: Ultrasonographic Optic nerve sheath diameter measurement.: 10 minutes after intubation optic nerve sheath diameter will be recorded in both the eyes in supine position using ultrasonogr

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients 18-65 years of age, either gender. Patients with ASA I-II. All the patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures including cranial and spine surgeries under general anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Non consenting Patients. Emergency neuro surgical procedures for intracranial bleed or extradural, subdural bleed. Neuro surgical procedures with final head position being in neutral position. Patients with pre-existing pathological eye conditions like optic neuritis • Patients with history of ophthalmic surgery • History of ocular injury • History of ocular disease.Open globe injuries. • Patients undergoing cranioplasty surgeries. • Patients with cerebral space occupying lesion causing a midline shift of more than 5 mm on CT head.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate the change in ONSD with the change in Head position.Timepoint: Ten minutes after intubation. one minute after head position. one minute after surgical closure.
