Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. Primary Objective: a. To assess the cognitive functions in obese subjects:- -by evaluating mini-mental state examination (MMSE) and montoreal cognitive assessment (MoCA). -by evaluating the blood levels of cognitive biomarker i.e. serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). 2. Secondary Objective: a. To compare the above objectives with age and sex matched healthy controls (non-obese subjects). Timepoint: After the sample collection process is completed, the BDNF level measurements using BDNF Elisa kit will be started. Sample collection will approximately take 4-6 weeks.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
If the relationship is established, artificial BDNF may be useful clinically in patients of endocrinolgy and psychology.Timepoint: 5 weeks
