Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Sealing pressure-The sealing pressure will be measured using a fresh gas flow rate 5L/min, with closure of the adjustable pressure limiting valve of the anaesthetic circuit and recording the airway pressure when gas was heard leaking around the device.Timepoint: 5 minutes after successful intubation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Airway pressuresTimepoint: cm H2O;Duration taken for insertionTimepoint: seconds;Ease of insertionTimepoint: Based on number of attempts;Hemodynamic responseTimepoint: 30 minutes;Post-operative complicationsTimepoint: 24 hours
