Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients above 18 years 2.Primary rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. 3.Posterior PVR grade >B 4.Media clarity sufficient for vitrectomy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Unwilling to give consent 2.Patients with co-existing posterior segment pathology. 3.Traumatic retinal detachments. 4.Giant retinal tears. 5.Retinal dialysis
