Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA grade I and II patients undergoing elective gynaecological surgical procedures of short duration ( < 30 minutes ) requiring general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ASA GRADE III IV and V Patients with hemodynamically unstable , history of allergy to drugs being used ,hepatic and renal impairment, history of epilepsy and sign of increased intracranial pressure , difficult bag and mask , pregnant female more then 20 weeks of pregnancy.

MeasureTime frame
To assess and compare the effects of ketamine and ketofol as an induction agent on hemodynamic parameters ( SBP, DBP, MAP, HR, R/R AND SPO2 ) FROM THE BASELINE.Timepoint: From pre induction and after induction at 1,3,5,15,20 and 30 minutes .

MeasureTime frame
To assess and compare the difference in the meantime to sleep (loss of verbal contact). Timepoint: time duration in seconds from start of giving induction agent to loss of verbal response;To assess and compare the difference in mean Numeric pain rating scale (NRS) pain score after recovery from effect of anaesthesia.Timepoint: NRS for pain assessment at 1 hour after induction .;To assess and compare the difference in proportion of incidence of respiratory events and postoperative complications.Timepoint: Assessment of Respiratory complications in intraoperative period and assessment of postoperative complications at 1 hour after induction.
