Intervention1: BCID2 Panel: BCID2 panel will be run on all blood samples flagging positive for a bacteria and yeast. BCID2 panel facilitates the identification of organism and its resistance mechanism

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Any patient admitted in the hospital adult ICU (COVID and non-COVID) in the defined study period, whose blood culture flags positive for bacteria/ yeast will be included in the study. Only the first positive blood culture for each patient will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. Expiry of the patient before blood culture flags positive b. Patient transferred from another setup with a previous positive blood culture of the same organism. c. Positive blood culture in the previous week d. Patients under 18 years old
