Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: EXCLUSION CRITERIA 1. Pregnancy or lactating women. 2. Systemic metastasis 3. PD after neoadjuvant chemotherapy 4. Intraoperative distant metastases 5. R2 resection

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the incidence of para-aortic lymph node metastases in patients with non-pancreatic periampullary carcinoma who underwent pancreatoduodenectomy or to undergo pancreatoduodenectomy Timepoint: Baseline, 7 days, 30 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1)To evaluate the predictive factors of para-aortic lymph node metastasis: • Diameter of PALN • Etiology • Tumor size • Number of lymph node & Lymph node ratio • Perineural invasion & Angioinvasion • Positive resected margin • Time to surgery from diagnosis • CEA & CA19-9 2) To evaluate the short-term postoperative outcomes like: • Clavien-Dindo score • Post-operative pancreatic fistula • Hemorrhage • Biliary fistula • 30- & 90-days mortality Timepoint: Baseline, 7 days, 30 days
